I thought I had the same issue last week but it turned out being what Wiseguy said. I'd pause it and it would reset the progress bar and I'd get annoyed until I noticed the file size changing. Example: If I let a 2gb download get half downloaded and pause it the progress bar restarts but the file size is now the remaining 1gb.

On my new Windows 7 Home laptop I’m unable to download big files as downloads stop after some time. I know the problem is not with my ISP as BT downloads never stop like this and I’m able to download huge (>1GB) files over BT without any issue.
